Teams were also reduced from the usual six players to four and so each match consisted of two singles and a doubles. * The first division ended in a four-way tie on five match wins between Middlesex, Surrey, Hertfordshire and Essex. Essex won one game fewer than the others and since Middlesex beat both Surrey and Hertfordshire they were deemed the winners. ** Kent beat Shropshire Teams Division 1 Essex Rich Waterman (C), Robert Fulford, Nick Steiner, Aston Wade, Craig Winfield Glamorgan Chris Williams (C), Kevin Ham, Tudor Jenkins, Angharrad Walters Hertfordshire Richard M Smith (C), Will Gee, Daniel Gott, Nick Mounfield Middlesex Phil Cordingley (C), Eugene Chang, Alain Giraud, Gabrielle Higgins, Nigel Polhill Nottinghamshire James Death (C), Martin Beacon, Euan Burridge, John Filsak, Dave Gunn, Alex McIntyre Suffolk Philip Eardley (C), Andrew Gray, Paul Hetherington, David Wicks, Albie Willett Surrey Jeff Dawson (C ), Andy Dibben, John-Paul Moberly, George Noble, Duncan Reeve, Tim Wilkins Sussex Roger Wood (C), Paul Castell, Alan Cottle, Phil Dunk, Mark Fawcett, Mark Hamilton, Dominic Nunns Division 2 Berkshire Joe King (C), Andy Myers, Mark Ormerod, Avril Rangoni-Machiavelli, Joel Taylor Dorset Jonathan Powe (C), James Brind, David Kendrick, Dave Trimmer, David Williams Hampshire Brian Fisk (C), Sara Anderson, Graham Gale, Ian Harrison, Nigel Hind, Annabel McDiarmid, Mike Town Kent Robert Alexander (C), Jolyon Creasey, John Daniels, Jon Diamond, Liz Farrow, Brian Havill, Philip Mann Shropshire Simon Cawdell (C), Robbie Dodds, Omied Hallam, Rob Minshall Warwickshire Adrian Morris (C), Neil Bacon, Cliff Daniel, Andrew Gregory, Ken Jones, Ian Slater Wiltshire Andrew Willis (C), Richard Dickson, Roger Hayes, Jonathan Lacey Yorkshire Rod Ashwell (C), Robert Essler, Callum Johnson, David Warhurst |
